A JobBox programme designed for outreach into schools, colleges and communities. Show sixth-form students the workplaces that graduates actually walk into, before they commit to a course.
Dossier in development
Widening participation depends on imagination. A young person cannot choose a route into a workplace they cannot picture. Leaflets and open days help. Standing inside the labs, studios and offices, before applying, is different.
The Warwick JobBox is being scoped as a portable outreach unit for schools and colleges across the region. Ten headsets, one case, loaded with real footage of the degree programmes and the industries they lead to.
Two minutes inside a lab, a studio or an industry partner site. The kind of moment a prospectus cannot capture.
One case. One person can carry it. Deploys in ninety seconds. Works at a school as easily as at a fair.
Reach students who would never have visited campus. Bring campus to them.
Widening participation is a distance problem. JobBox closes it, without moving anyone. The JobBox brief · Placeholder for a signed foreword
